Back at the hotel, it was time to dish out the Fanfic awards. I made use of my camera's remote control to include me in a couple of pictures with the group. Linda and Biz swept the awards with about 4 each. Rita and Diane were the other two on hand winners. Linda soon had the information posted. (I had searched in vain for a phone jack in the lounge we were at. I had wanted to broadcast the awards live to the chat room. But, better we held them there in the well-lit, spacious area we were at.)
Then...finally...we WENNed down!
Someone (I assume Biz) had already provided a VCR. I also brought my S-VHS VCR [all S-VHS's have HiFi Stereo and can also record and play VHS (shameless plug for a great format that's dying a slow death)]. I also brought the Sony stereo speakers I use for my desktop computer.

I was sure there would be plenty of episodes so the only Remember WENN I brought were those I had recorded from the DirecTV dish on S-VHS in the SP mode. When we watched one of those episodes we used my tapes, when it was other WENN, we used Biz's tapes.
When we discussed Young Indy earlier, I felt I should have brought a couple of episodes for those who hadn't seen George (Mr. Eldridge) Hall as "Old" Indy or for those who haven't heard Tom (Mr. Foley) Beckett speak, as he did playing George Gershwin.
However among the shows on Linda's tape with WENN associated material was the AMC Behind the Scenes that focused on Tom Beckett. So that was good. One of the reasons I also brought a VCR was for dubbing and I had wanted that Beckett bit since I had first missed it. I got a dub the next day.
Biz had some edited scenes (with Adobe Premiere so none of that color waving at each edit, thank you very much) set to music. We watched some Saturday night (WENN oriented-one by her friend Cindy Neidt) and some more on Sunday (non-WENN oriented). After the two-punch of "Magic/In the WENN Small Hours..." we were knocked out and headed for sleep.
Wellllll.... I headed for my laptop that had been downstairs recording the #wenn chat. Mike Waters arrived while I was catching up (everyone else had left the room) and we talked while fruitlessly waving to Kerri in AOL purgatory.
I got plenty of sleep which meant I missed the Continental breakfast. I kept meaning to glance at my cameral manual and refresh how a timer shot occurred but it was 11:01 and we were supposed to meet downstairs at 11. As my elevator door opened on the first floor, I heard what I thought was James' voice, silenced, as the other elevator door closed. Still, I checked around downstairs before heading up to the con suite where they had just arrived from downstairs. There I scarfed on some Bugles and Coca-Cola for breakfast.
Joe had taken off early and Rita and Alyce soon departed. It was storming, but the weather wasn't going to get much better as the day progressed. So we took off to the excellent Ohio Historical Museum and its fabulous 1940s exhibit, Kilroy Was Here!, running until the end of 2000. They even had a Zenith floor radio very close to the model used in the WENN green room. [I would have taken more pictures at the museum, but my battery had run down last night in the con suite. Although I had recharged the batteries overnight, I wanted to be sparing in my use.]

We went to a marvelous Chinese buffet for a mid-afternoon meal. (Of course it was marvelous, I was starving! :)
Then, back to the room.
